I’m super grateful for being involved in Wieden+Kennedy’s Platform project. I don’t think anybody really knows what to expect from Platform. Here’s the description:

What is Platform?
Platform is a future creative talent platform, which will hire, teach and work with a diverse mix of people, from around the world. We will recruit talent from the arts, sciences and technology backgrounds who will work together to solve business problems through creative solutions. You will learn by doing which means being involved in everything from building prototypes, enabling and assisting in research development to curating your very own event space and programme.

It’s gonna be exciting to see how this project develops and whether it grows, flourishes and produces work different to W&K’s current output. I’ve limited experience working with ad agencies and on the whole I’d be relieved to see the Platform students stretching the structure of the agency and blurring the boundaries between clients, briefs, pitches and ownership.

At some point I’m gonna have to think about what to teach/present to the students.. My first iPhone tip would be to wear skinny jeans. Stops thieves stealing your precious development device.
